Desert Island

If you were stranded on a desert island what albums would you wish to have with you? On the other hand if you were stranded on a dessert island would you wish for ice cream or cake? If it were me on that island I would need music for a variety of moods, a slice of chocolate cake and a tall cold glass of whole milk.

1) in a mellow mood
Bjork - Post
and Portishead - Dummy
or DJ Shadow - Preemptive Strike

2) in the mood to rock out
Neil Young - Live Rust
or Smashing Pumpkins - Gish

3) in a sentimental mood
Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac

and John and Yoko - Double Fantasy

So what albums would you like to have on your island? Did you make dessert?

3 comments:

  1. no surprise here: Beatles-White album
I'm from Brooksville & this one has Jude's lullaby on it: Dixie Chicks-Home
I got soul: Al Green-Greatest hits
    Moody girl: The Cure-Wish
    Girl power: Tori Amos-Little Earthquakes
as far as the question of cake vs. ice cream, I choose mint choc chip ice cream since it's going to be hot.

  2. whole entire albums? see that's a tough one.
for overall hands down - Beatles Abbey Road
for Friday afternoons "it's time for the weekend" -Bob Marley Legend (because I'm sure I'd still look forward to the weekend on a deserted island after a hard week of shucking coconuts)
for reminiscing - Weezer (blue album)
for easy-going - Harry Connick Jr We Are In Love
for my cheesy guilty-pleasure - George Michael Faith
As far as my Dessert Island is concerned...I'd rather go with Quesadillas and a Margarita over desserts anyday...
